The True Self Knows but One God

March 26, 2008

In mans longing to truly understand himself , he inherently finds the God of his Being. This may come about in varied ways. It begins with his acceptance of who he thinks he is, and who he sees himself to be. It is this process that can and most times does cause the suppressed ego to begin to inflate. This is not at all a bad thing, its more of just the part of the process.
For some might at first be dealing with their own physical image, which they tend to see as themselves. How can they not? For although it truly is the last outpost of God, from mans point of view , its his first. So we begin that journey by first accepting our physical being before we can even begin to go inside and look into who we truly are.
In the realm of the soul, the body plays a very little part. For many who have yet to accept that part of themselves, that in itself can be a turning point to not go further.
The body mind houses two trains of thought. The body Image and the Self Image, and one cant get to the Self, if not through the body's acceptance of itself first.

The Soul, God or Higher Self, awaits the Second Coming. The return home to where one truly lives and has its Being. So what does the soul require to see itself? Just like a mirror, it needs to see the qualities it contains. Just as a parent looks to see the likeness of itself in its child, so does the GodSoul, look for the same. However, the Souls qualities are not physical. So they can never be seen through a body perspective.
The soul only sees beauty, and if the person in whom it inhabits has yet to recognize the beauty of it's being, it has yet to recognize the first aspect of his soul.
The soul doesn't care how much material wealth you attain, because from his perspective, all attainment on that level is temporal. The soul or God, awaits our attainment of remembering who and what we truly are.
Let me propose another idea. Would an all knowing, loving, God, love only Himself? If your answer to that question, is yes, you are right. This next question will be where we separate our own ego, from that of a loving God. Our ego can be inflated enough to believe it is Godlike, however if it does not love others in that same way, then it has never reached the Love of God, of which we speak. So to truly love on the level of God's Love, one has to Love all that very same way.
And within that Love, they also must treat others in the way, they themselves wish to be treated. Can we pretend to love God, and dislike another? Yes, that too is possible, if what we dislike is based more on not who they are, but rather on what they do. Do we toss them aside in our aversion of their lower nature? In some cases we might need to, to protect and love who we are, first. However, if we have to, we do it knowing full well, it is for our Good. And most likely theirs as well.
The Soul, in this entire process, is both the recorder of our Good and the recipient of it. The more we become the invisible parts of our nature, the closer we get to God.
What are the invisible parts of our nature? The thing we call character. It is in our character, the goodness of who we truly are, is where God lives and has His Being.
When words like integrity, honor, respect and above all TRUTH become our entire nature, it is only then, that we can begin to see both the Love and Power of God.
And when we can give up our Life for those principles, we can then truly see God.
In those qualities we find and reach the Highest part of Our self. And it is then and only then, when actualized , can we see and know the One God for all mankind.
