Some people of Faith , I believe, really don't know the difference between Faith and Hope. Most I would say, hope more, than they believe. Hope for some, can be more a place of wishful thinking, mixed with disbelief, than what I see as, True Faith, itself
To call something your Faith, should leave the believer with no sense of disbelief. For Faith itself means, I believe in you. I believe in you , with my whole heart and whole mind. Meaning without a shadow of a doubt.
When one uses the word Faith, it should never be presented as hope in disguise.
To have faith, is to believe in something that's rooted in Trust. And one can only have trust in something that has been proven to be True. We can hope that God will fulfill what we are praying for, but without the Faith to believe it can be so, our prayers are nothing more than empty hopes.
The reason for this is, that Faith should not be something outside ourselves. We should not be looking to heaven at a God that hangs out in the clouds, without recognizing that that same God is living within us.
When we feel insecure, we ask Him to strengthen us. If we do not bring that part of God into our own being, then just mouthing the words wont make it so. To gain God, we need to know that He is within our reach. We then can have that place within our Heart that He may live. Otherwise, we will always be praying to something beyond our reach, for the very things He cares nothing about. Yes,. He is Above us, in an invisible realm, but He is also living within us, in the physical heart, as well.
The Faith of which I speak, should be a Living Being. Living with me daily. It should effect every move I make. Every word I choose, every action I enact. The proof of this kind of Living Faith is in the statement, that asks us, "if no one was watching you, what would you do?" . Would you be the very same person, if left to opportunities of temptation? Are you the same with others that you are when the only eyes on you are that of yourself?
A person who Lives their Faith, needs no conscience cop, to make him live his truth.. He lives the Truth in all things, because He knows that the God HE Loves, lives with Him.
With that kind of Living Faith, could nay of us do anything, that would not be pleasing to God? Would we make better choices? Would we think we lack anything , if we had God living within us? In whom would we Trust? We would have to begin to listen to the best part of ourselves. We would have to tell the truth in all things. Never needing to hide the Truth, for He would be our Living Truth. For what purpose would we need to lie?
To look good in the eyes of others? If God was living within us, and we were living His Truth, wouldn't our very being look good to others?
When we lie, all we are supporting is the ego's earthly image. It is the face we want to show the world. When we live in Faith, we only want to Show God. We only want His Goodness to shine through. Not from the false ego that needs to lie to hide the truth. Not from the ego that wishes to look good to all things temporal. But instead to live the Truth of a Living God.
Could we lie, cheat or steal? Could we gossip and give false testimony about our neighbor? Could we diminish another ,so that we would look greater on earth? And while doing that losing what is truly greater in Heaven?
Real Faith, can never be Hope in disguise. True faith requires a firm commitment to the Truth. To being honest in all things. For it was just one lie told in the Garden in the face of God, that caused the fall.
Christ redeemed us from that, but also asked us to "go sin no more"
When you word is your bond. When people trust that what you say you will do, you do. When your character matches that of the God that lives within you, then and only then, will be the examples of the Living God.
To just believe it and not live it , is living in the Hopes that someday you might see God. Rather than begin Living it, and Seeing Him as Your Life.
