Because we are a society that strives to do better, to innovate, to inspire and to lead..we come under the scrutiny of all of the world powers. We are even now, in the process of rethinking who we are?
We see so many Americans struggling from paycheck to paycheck ,and of course in a country where most of the worlds wealth is produced, we cant understand why? In our desire to lift people up out of poverty or injustice we sometimes forget that it is we who are projecting that image. It is we who feel the struggle and want a hand up if not a hand out! What we also can sometimes forget is, that to always be seeking a hand in our daily struggles..so are others looking for that hand up from you?
We seem to think that because we are struggling, it is someone else's responsibility to stop the struggle for us?
When this is seen for what it truly is, we may then also see who it is , that really needs to change!
There are a few ways to seek help. some people believe its the responsibility of our government. While others seek to help themselves. Some seek God to see them through, while others despair, in never being helped at all?
I am of the belief, in God helps them who help themselves. My choice of strength never came from outside myself.
And even less, in a government that squanders our money to promote themselves , and dislike each other's philosophy's enough, to stalemate what once was a true representation of the people.
I even see many young people who wish to do good, but who have been corrupted by some subtle hate for all things monetary , corporate or material. They believe that our country is also corrupt and that no people in anything "big" is or can be good.
These are the misconceptions of our time. Yes Jesus did throw the money changers out of the temple. But he also rendered to "Caesars" what was the Government , then. Judas on the other-hand, wanted Christ to establish a Government on Earth. He was like many children today, wanting things to change but using the wrong element of change in order to do so. We protest and dislike what our Government does, as long as it isn't doing what we like. And with that , we again look in the wrong place to fix our own needs.
When we expect anything from our Government we should remember we will get it at times, by forgoing the Truth.
Government and Truth are rare..Government and Power is more the Truth. So the very people who feel powerless, are the very people who seek their solutions from the powerful. The inerrant problem with this understanding is, that that the powerful can easily forget from whence they came. They can also seek Power with little or no belief in something Greater than themselves? They will seek their ideas to come into power, and no politician that I know, can create or generate the Love of Christ.
They can impress us with their desire to do good, but they cant love us as Christ Himself can.
They can ease a temporary earthly pain. But can they bring the Comfort and Peace that only the Christ can?
We can accept the process of Government as it is see... laws that are guided with the intention of doing good.
However can you call our Government ..God? Can it heal all things? Can it bring comfort to the sick? Can it bring Peace to a troubled mind?
What it can do, is be the instrument for change, but nothing more should be expected from it..If you truly need to seek your Soul..look to yourself's purpose. Only God can call us all together for one purpose.
.Government should be seen ask the two sides of the brain. Both having a belief that what they think and how they do it, is the best way to go. One side believes that self satisfaction is always better than disciplined behavior
The other side of these two antagonists say " we should take care of everything , let them not feel pain, let them only feel satisfaction. Let there be Peace, even if we have to appease. The other side of the brains argument is, discipline is good for ones soul. To not be disciplined is to be wild, lawless and interested only in self indulgence.
So who, or what, can bring these two philosophy's together? Only the being that lives above both. A being that wars not in His own mind. Who is complete in His Wholeness.
A Being who feels no lack, for He is the Source for all. Only the God Man... the Christ. who is One with His Father, can fill the soul enough, that it can see where its true Glory lies. That it no longer seeks politics to find Principle. How can Principle be found, if not in a man who can wholly exhibits it?
And the question should be, that to see principle in another, principle has to first live within oneself. What the Marketplace and Government allows is to choose the less of two evils.. possibly the most trustworthy?
However if we are seeking real truth, only Christ can be your provider!
