In the Mind of God, wonder is the child of a lesser God.
I certainly dont mean that you should take affront to that, as some might. However, wonder belongs more to man, than to God. All things of course are part of the Almighty , however not all things belong in the realm of the Christ.
Christ never wondered about His connection to His Father. He was concieved to a woman who knew and accepted her God, without any sense of curiousity. Her acceptanced relationship to Him, had nothing to do with a lack of understanding. And had even less to do with the wonder that most see as a sign of intelligence.
Intelligence in mans world, immediately denotes one postion in society. Those who laud knowledge, see knowledge as power. Curiousity, doesnt even reach that level of commitment. Curiousity is a dabbler. Its just a slight interest , most times only to occupy ones time. Curiousity leaves ME to wonder, its purpose? As children, I can definately understand their wonder. Curiousity in that age, when the world is still mystery is how children seek to find thier way in the world. However, in an adult, I would think one would no longer see the world as a curiousity?
And I would never consider wonder as the tool to seek or understand the world of God. How would one answer that question of knowledge of God, when wonder exists in a state separate from Him. God after all, knows who He is, He has no need to wonder. He sent His Son to die for out immortal Soul. A far bigger commitement to Know Thyself, than wonder could ever commit?
The 50's produced a song "I wonder, wonder who, bedobe who, who wrote the book of Love"? That assessment along suggested a severe lack of self understanding, much less the wonderous understanding of God.
THere is a genuine difference as well as a result when it comes to wondering. We may wonder how things are made, or we may wonder in the miracle of life. One belongs to the intellect , the other to God.
Knowledge of Self can lead to the understanding of God. Once one knows God, curiousity no longer would exist. For you would be surrounded in His Life, which will fufill every wonder!
