"Oh, how smart he is!" Might be the most important words a young parent can hear about their own child. Those words alone begin to place that little soul, in a category seen by the world as the most coveted. After all intelligence is the mark of the beast, so why wouldn't the world love it! The world loves the debate, the investigations, the proof, the praise of being right, the analysis, and all that is called upon to be seen as being "the intelligentsia". With that, the world seems to take on a very different role, it raises us up to "kingship", to being a part of a select crowd, those who are in, those in the know!
Why then, should I then seek to destroy the world? I truly dont wish to destroy the worlds need to be needed, I instead, wish to give life to what is truly so much more important . The will of God.
If we could imagine for a moment, what the world would be like, if we could live just from our heart? If the world didn't place as much importance on being right. than doing what is right. And what of intellect? It should not be abolished but instead it should use its heart in the process. The problem with a heart and head split, is why we try for compassion, but our own self interest sometimes gets in the way.
Just picture the last raise to be given in your office, of course you want it to be you. Because we are supposed to think of ourselves first, that's part of survival. But what if survival was taken out of the question, what then?
What if we began to see that we already have enough, what then?
We are the droplets of a rather complex being. But our source, is rather a simple one. Our source calls upon us to think, but it also calls us to be insightful and thoughtful. Can we be any of that if all we see is our own selfish needs? Can we be thoughtful of others if we think we still need that raise? And is there a difference between "intellect" and the mind?
Intellect is temporary, what is true now , might not be true down the road. Ex. WMDs, wasn't it our "intelligence sources" that told us about those WMD's. At the time, they were real, and dangerous. It was only latter, after more intelligence was gathered that we found out we weren't as intelligent as we thought we were:)
Intellect is only as smart as the day is long. Intellect is not Truth, nor should it be thought of as such. However , truth is and always will be eternal, and we must not confuse the difference.
