What's in a Word?

July 10, 2009

In todays world, statements are made  , sometimes deliberately, to promote misconceptions and untruths.

Here is but one example: "Self-actualizers are somehow both mature and childlike" This statement is true, however it was followed by; They manifest ‘healthy childishness’ and ‘a second naiveté,’" said one Abraham Maslow.

His statement was made about Micheal Jackson, in Jacksons support.  I suppose he was using it in defense of Michaels "wacko" misleading personality. He used the word Self-actualized and tried to appy it to MJ.

A Self actualize person, indeed can be childlike, but never childish . Also , they can be naive, but not unaware.

A Self-actualized person, is at first, very responsible for all their actions. They would be overcareful rather than reckless (hanging a baby over a balcony) would never be the action of Self-actualization. It was that act, that told me, he wasnt who he said he was. And he duped many with his "We are the World" view. Those who are expressing the Soul, are never selfish, but Self aware. Something Micheal Jackson was not. He was germ phobic, fearful, and had a poor,  self loathing, body image.

What MJ was , was a great entertainer, an excuse filled self delusioned man. Someone God would love, but someone who had little understanding of His Self.

When Bravado is mistaken for Self Worth

March 13, 2008

Many people can't tell the difference between the mask they show the world , and the  person they were meant to be. For most , the mask they wear is who they believe they are.

The face they show the world was developed for survivial, and usually is not the real "Self" they were meant to be. We all know the mask we used when we were offended by a word or deed, yet acted as if, it meant nothing. Or even the reserse of internialization, something that creates "road rage".in others.

It is this separation of the True Self, and that of the personailty, the face we show the world.

Why  this gap in ones personality?  Becuase we were set up that way. As children we needed to survive in what we saw as an hard to understand world. So inherent in our psyche was a protective mechanism called the ego. When we felt threatened the ego made the decision to flee, fight, freeze. However at the same time, our Soul or our true Self , houses no fear at all. Just as the body absorbs fear, the Soul fears nothing. Leaving us to conclude, that fear belongs soley to our body, as does the personalitys ego.

Another understaning of...

Today's Word is... Love

Love has many different meanings, and in my opinion has become misused.

Can you equate love with bad behavior? Can the word have any real meaning without a deed to follow?

Let me hear what you think about ....Love
