Intellegence, the Worlds Perspective
January 10, 2009
"Oh, how smart he is!" Might be the most important words a young parent can hear about their own child. Those words alone begin to place that little soul, in a category seen by the world as the most coveted. After all intelligence is the mark of the beast, so why wouldn't the world love it! The world loves the debate, the investigations, the proof, the praise of being right, the analysis, and all that is called upon to be seen as being "the intelligentsia". With that, the world seems to take on a very different role, it raises us up to "kingship", to being a part of a select crowd, those who are in, those in the know!
Why then, should I then seek to destroy the world? I truly dont wish to destroy the worlds need to be needed, I instead, wish to give life to what is truly so much more important . The will of God.
If we could imagine for a moment, what the world would be like, if we could live just from our heart? If the world didn't place as much importance on being right. than doing what is right. And what of intellect? It should not be abolished but instead it should use its heart in the process. The problem with...

The Flasehood of the World
December 19, 2008
Or how we chose to decieve ourselves..... Is the theme of this writing. Although many choose to decieve themselves through separation, in causes, rights or beliefs, the real truth is, that we already know the truth.
We all know when out of fear of rejection, or fear of loss of something we have little faith in, we choose to take the cover-up of a lie, than to be forthright in speaking the Truth. Somepeople believe that telling the truth is telling another what you believe is right for them. That is not the Truth, thats called an opinion, based upon your own beliefs and disquises.
The real Truth is an eternal One. It can only be defined in the form of living ones most ethical life. That is, having core principles of which you will not deviate from, for no one and no body. And those core principles lodged in and for an ethical behavior, having nothing to do with others, other than your Self.
Can an athetist have these same core values, even if He denounces the belief in a God? Only if this same atheist isnt out trying to promote his ideas as a given right. When it comes to ethics ,...

Obama is He the One?
October 20, 2008
Mr Obama may very well be the "One" for some if not many. But what exactly is He supposed to be? The Second Coming of Christ? If that is what people are expecting, then how should we access him?
People do love him, and are drawn to support him even though he has not fulfilled his left wing promises. Or is Mr Obama more our hope, than our God. Americans as a whole are good people, who want nothing more in life, than to leave our imprint of a better world. WOuld leaving this world better than we found it, not a Christ-like principle? I would think so. Is Mr Obama Christ incarnate? I think not!
I pray that he makes the world better, for it is the dream of all of us to do so. But before we crown him , let us remeber, that the Love of Christ is in us all.
If Mr Obama lives his truth, without compromising his principles, than he will be a great man. Can he heal the worlds wounds? Only the Christ can do that. Only the Christ will speak the truth always, and not becuase we want something, or so that some country likes us.
Mr Obama would be more the One, had he supported...

Truth is the only real element of Love
October 13, 2008
To thine own self be true, has been stated for hundreds of years. If you are a liar admit to being one, only if you dont accept Christ in your life.
Once you do accept Him as God, then just as any addicted being must, one has to wean oneself off of deciet. There is nothing wrong with being completely honest with yourself, for that is just the beginning. Once you take on that habit, it becomes your way of life. I'm not speaking of the honesty of telling someone you dont like what they are wearing, that is a fashion judgement call. The honesty and truth I speak of is of your compassionate heart.
If you see an injustice, to right it. Never allow a friendship to exist if you cant speak freely without feeling your being judged. If it's a true friendship, it is Truth that is at its Heart. Know and appreciate your true friends. They arent meausred in numbers. Be the example you wish the world to be. Never force YOUR PURPOSE purpose on another. Give the gift of gratitude to your God daily, for without Him there would be absolutely no Good in the world.
For His is the principle of Good. He is the...

Rick Warrens Debate
August 18, 2008
As I watched both men call upon thier ideas and beliefs, I saw the defining differences between Mc Cain and Obama.
There is some truth to the idea of an age difference, however I think it has more meaning than just that.
With Obama, many saw his hesitation to respond as thoughtful, seeing his hesitation in response to the abortion question as one of ( above his pay grade). There might be much truth in his answer, and even more in his non answer. It was completely telling of someone who calls themselves Christian, yet doesnt support the essence of Christ.
Those who believe they are uber intelligent, seem to believe all questions have so many varied answers, that not "one" can fit all? He gives more credence to the agony of a woman's decision to abort, than to the Father whose hand gave life to that child. Than where should we place Mr Obama statement "what you do to the least of my breathren" apply?. Ask any mother who first finds out that she is pregnant if she believes she is carring life?
We live in a disposible society where even the news of a gift of life, for some, is too inconvient. I dont know if those who can easily or even not...

What is Evil?
July 18, 2008
Simply put...Evil is taking pleasure, in the pain of others . Is war evil? One has to first understand its intentions? Is going after Ben Laden more a just war? To some it is, those very same people who are now protesting being in Iraq, will now have ask themselves is this war is more just? Why would freeing a people from dictatorship, be seen as more offensive, than going after one man? After all, was it this one man who houses all the evils in the world? And how can we truly justify a nation of people under a dictator any less impotant? Can we say it was 19 men from Saudi Arabia, who commited the crime? Can we say that all those plotting evil all over the world, are less important than that One Man?
Evil is the hate of humanity, it is the complete opposite of the Christ. Christ's pain was that of humanities suffering. It is his opposite who takes pleasure in that.
So what is it that we as followers of Christ need to do? Are we to support Love, and did Love save Christ? Yes it saved Him alone, however He knew that those who wished Him dead, knew not what they were doing? But what of that in today's world? What if they knew what they do, and take...

What is a Father to You
June 15, 2008
When you think of the word Father, what does that word convey?
For me, the Father I wanted was one who would always be true to his word. For myself, I always wanted to live and be, the example of the Christ. In my mind, being true to ones word, was my ideal of what a Father should be. I suppose it was because , the father I had on earth, wasn't known to keep his? Don't get me wrong, he was as good a man as he could be for his time. However, his priorities were never the same as my own. My mother always loved him and there were many other reasons why we should. His life was a blessing in disguise, for I strove to be the kind of man, I had wished him to be!
I believe that children are born to create new or recreate what was missing in their lives. And if we are conscious of our lives, we realize this is the reason for our birth. Our purpose in part is to correct the mistakes of our past. I found my soul mate in the image of my own likeness, so in a way, I created the person hood on the shoulders of those who helped raise...

What not to waist your time on!
June 13, 2008
How many times have we heard these sayings...Stop and smell the roses..Take time to enjoy the day. Live your Dreams! Be Creative! Live Free or Die! Dont sweat the small stuff? Our WORLD is filled with supposed meaningful cliches. What makes them cliches is that most people say more then they do. Its only in the DOING, do these words become REAL!
So if you dont mean what you say...dont fool yourself by thinking saying the words impress people. People are no longer ignorant. They can see if the sayer and the doer are one in the same?
If you still have to be told to enjoy life , I doubt if the message will ever reach your ear! Folks who still need to be told to slow down and appreicate, have yet to really appreciate the blessings they have around them, daily. Although important to those individuals, telling someone what they should do in their lives presumes the lack of God already in that life. And in essence leaves little belief in the Grand Scheme of things.
Everything in life is Purposefull, however awareness of your individual purpose is the meaning of Life Itself!
What is most meaingful however is to be remembered not for what you do, but for who we are!
Most people...

Love Is not the Answer..it is the Reward
May 18, 2008
Today , after years of believing the Christ was the Lord of Love, I realized that belief is not wholly the Truth.
Christ was the worlds first example of how we should love, however the essence of His Being was TRUTH.
I have seen ,as well as heard, so many people mouth the words" I love you", when indeed, I knew they did not. Many say that word, with no real adherance to its real meaning. Haven't you heard that word in a shopping mall, when someone see's something they want? Or even worse a person in an abusive relationship, say after being taken to a hospital ,after being beaten..but I love him. Can this be the Love Christ was bringing to us , by example? I think not! Again, there is never any love, if there is never Truth.
Love sometimes can be seen in moments of enthusiasim, joy, glee, etc..these , like the branches of a tree, are offshoots of the constant we know as love. Love is the parent of all the positive feelings we experience, and it is behind all our feelings of joy, no matter what triggers those feelings..However not even joy, is truly Love, it is only a momentary expression...UNLESS someone is Living in the consistant state of Love. As the...

The War against Sincerity
April 10, 2008
I don't know about you, but when I end a letter or thank you note, I always end it with, Sincerely. I believe that most people think Sincerely is a thing of the heart rather than at of the mind. However, I once saw a piece, that said, Sincerely is the virtue of the Mind.
To me, when one is conscious of what they do, they would see it as a Mind and Heart thing. In-fact, the word sincerity might be the best word to express what is TRUE.
The dictionary's definition is, "without deceit". That in itself speaks volumes. When you say you are truly sincere, it means that both your heart and mind are expressing the same dynamic. That they wish to impart to the receiver something more than being polite, or politically correct.
Just think of all the insincerity we are spewing today, just to not offend. I can speak whats in my heart when I have to temper my feelings, and stifle my mind. Whats so ironic is, that when I was a child, people had no idea of what being politically correct meant? Yet somehow the were so much kinder. There was so much less violence, and who ever heard of a gun being brought to...

Faith, Should Not be Hope in Disguise
April 9, 2008
Some people of Faith , I believe, really don't know the difference between Faith and Hope. Most I would say, hope more, than they believe. Hope for some, can be more a place of wishful thinking, mixed with disbelief, than what I see as, True Faith, itself
To call something your Faith, should leave the believer with no sense of disbelief. For Faith itself means, I believe in you. I believe in you , with my whole heart and whole mind. Meaning without a shadow of a doubt.
When one uses the word Faith, it should never be presented as hope in disguise.
To have faith, is to believe in something that's rooted in Trust. And one can only have trust in something that has been proven to be True. We can hope that God will fulfill what we are praying for, but without the Faith to believe it can be so, our prayers are nothing more than empty hopes.
The reason for this is, that Faith should not be something outside ourselves. We should not be looking to heaven at a God that hangs out in the clouds, without recognizing that that same God is living within us.
When we feel insecure, we ask Him to strengthen us. If we do not bring that part of God into...

The Prince of Peace was Willing to Die for what He Believed
March 31, 2008
Why is it that people believe that Christ was our example of Peace? He didn't march for a cause, nor support a particular agenda. He did tell us to forgive our debtors, as well as to turn the other cheek. He wanted no part of the politics of the day, nor did He call for a war against the Romans.
In fact , He told us to love our neighbor as ourselves for His kind of Love. What would He say about going to war, to help people in a dictatorship? What would He say about feeding those in the Third World?
What would He expect from us today? Would the Prince of Peace expect us to look the other way? What would He expect us to do, if our Life is threatened in our own Home? Did He not die for His beliefs, would He expect less of us?
That is the real question. Would those who claim to be the Peace Makers, die for that belief? Would those very same people who carry the signs of Protest, to the graves of a buried soldier, die for that same protest?
I don't believe that they would. The ironic part of this , is that they will never put themselves in a position, where...

The True Self Knows but One God
March 26, 2008
In mans longing to truly understand himself , he inherently finds the God of his Being. This may come about in varied ways. It begins with his acceptance of who he thinks he is, and who he sees himself to be. It is this process that can and most times does cause the suppressed ego to begin to inflate. This is not at all a bad thing, its more of just the part of the process.
For some might at first be dealing with their own physical image, which they tend to see as themselves. How can they not? For although it truly is the last outpost of God, from mans point of view , its his first. So we begin that journey by first accepting our physical being before we can even begin to go inside and look into who we truly are.
In the realm of the soul, the body plays a very little part. For many who have yet to accept that part of themselves, that in itself can be a turning point to not go further.
The body mind houses two trains of thought. The body Image and the Self Image, and one cant get to...

For the Love of the Ethical Eternal Being called Our Soul
February 27, 2008
I must have been born loving the world. I remember how just looking into a person
eyes made me smile. I latter learned many people can’t even do that, much less like who they are. I never realized that, for I was too much in love with life, myself, and all the wonderful people around me, who made me smile.
I thought when I looked at them I saw what I believed them to be. And that they were indeed the expression of the good I saw in myself.
Having never truly possessing a syndical side, I seemed to have perceived life, as my cousin would latter tell me, through rose colored glasses. And when I was told that, I thought that to be a compliment, rather than the opposite.
I suppose it was my lot, to eventually learn, that a picture is mostly always a reflection of one’s “I” view, rather than the reality itself. I suppose that was my cousins reasoning when she said that to me, at that time.
I would eventually come to realize that we are all uniquely ourselves, and that our view of the world, is only the reflection of who...

September 11. 2001 to 2007
September 11, 2007
What would Christ do today, on the day 3,000 of His Children were sacrificed? Would Christ be forgiving of those who brought them down? Did He not forgive the murderer and tell him that He too would be with Him in Heaven? Weren't His last words, "Father forgive them they know not what they do?"
Did He not know that they too were innocent in their understandings? Is that the reason why, He was able to forgive them? What if He believed that they did this to Him both willingly and knowingly?
Would forgiveness be applicable, when one knows the others real intent? He forgave them because they were innocents in their lack of understanding. Can that same forgiveness be given to those who "Know very well what they do". Isn't that the difference? Isn't that more the understanding of what pure evil is?
And can a God who asks us to Love be so forgiving to those who knowingly make the choice to not?
Are we not the product of our choices? And how would we feel , if we were good, and God gave the same
credence and love to those who did just what He wouldn't wanted us to do.
Can you love your child,...

Integrity isnt a part time thing!
August 23, 2007
Be a Person Who Practices Non-Situational Integrity.
Integrity, a standard of personal morality and ethics, is not relative to the situation you happen to find yourself in and doesn’t sell out to expediency. Its short supply is getting even shorter, but without it, leadership is a façade. Learning to see through exteriors is a critical development in the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Sadly, most people continue to be taken in by big talk and media popularity, flashy or bizarre looks, and expensive possessions. They move through most of their years convinced that the externals are what count, and are thus doomed to live shallow lives. Men and women who rely on their looks or status to feel good about themselves inevitably do everything they can to enhance the impression they make – and do correspondingly little to develop their inner value and personal growth. The paradox is that the people who try hardest to impress are often the least impressive. Puffing to appear powerful is an attempt to hide insecurity.
In the Roman Empires’ final corrupt years, status was conveyed by the number of carved statues of the gods displayed in people’s courtyards. As in every business, the Roman...

The Character of the Christ
May 17, 2007
In a world that places much of its importance on what we do to make a living, rather than who we are our that makes a life. Character can sometime be seen as not something to waste time on. However, our charater is all we have to give. Our character should be flawless. When we give our word it should indeed have meaning. Years gone by, in a more honorable time, a man's word was his bond. Men were judged by that standard, and the trust of a man of character to keep his word, and nothing more. That honesty in a man's character , be he rich or poor , was the rock on which he not only established his dignity, but that of his family's name as well.
What do we see today?
It seems in our freedom based society, we have lost one of its glorious foundations...that of Honoring the Character of a Good Man.
Money has enticed us into believing that sucess is measured by a mans wealth, and not the richness of His Character. Well I believe we need to turn our clocks back, to a more principled time. A time where one's word meant something ... a time where the words spoken by the Christ were supposed to be our example:...
